Turn 7 of 16

While discussing what to do with Leo, Jess doesn’t notice her posture shifting. She begins walking confidently in the platform heels with a natural hip sway. When Leo points it out, she tries to stop but cannot.

Jess stood on the sidewalk clutching the fake LV bag, its weight unfamiliar against her hip as the heavy gold jewelry shifted with every small movement. She turned to Leo, her plump filler lips forming words that still felt thick and strange on her tongue, while the brown fur coat settled around her enhanced shoulders like it had always belonged there. The curse's warmth pulsed steadily now, loosening something deeper inside her even as she fought to keep her mind anchored to her old life and the quiet relationship they shared. Leo listened with growing unease, his eyes flicking between her dramatically tanned face and the way the tight skinny jeans hugged her new curves, but Jess focused only on brainstorming ways to reverse the whispered spell from the restaurant.

"We should go back inside and confront her," Jess said, her voice carrying a huskier note that made her wince. "Or maybe find someone who knows about curses? This can't just keep happening without a way to stop it." She gestured with one hand, the long crimson nails flashing under the streetlights, unaware that her posture had begun to shift further. Her shoulders rolled back more naturally, her chin lifting with an effortless poise that projected confidence rather than the hunched shame she intended. The platform heels suddenly felt less like obstacles and more like extensions of her legs, steadying her enhanced balance without conscious effort.

Leo nodded slowly at first, then his brow creased as he watched her take a few steps along the sidewalk to emphasize her point. Jess moved with a confident stride that rolled through her hips in a natural, pronounced sway, the dramatic BBL and tight jeans amplifying the motion into something unmistakably alluring under the fur coat. She did not notice at first, too absorbed in suggesting they call a friend who dabbled in esoteric books or perhaps seek out the restaurant manager, her thick fake lashes blinking as she scanned the street for inspiration. The gold necklace and belly ring caught the light with each step, the fake Gucci belt buckle glinting as her cinched waist twisted fluidly. Shame still churned in her chest, but the physical ease of the walk felt disturbingly right, like a muscle memory she had never earned.

"Jess, wait," Leo said, his tone sharpening with fresh alarm as he reached for her arm. "You're... you're walking differently. Like, really differently. It's that sway, and your back is straight, like you're showing off. Stop for a second."

Jess froze mid-stride, her black patent platform boots planted firmly on the pavement, and she glanced down at herself in renewed panic. She tried to force her hips to still, to revert to her old modest gait that avoided drawing eyes, but the motion would not obey. When she attempted another step, the confident sway returned unbidden, her body flowing into it as if the curse had rewritten her muscle memory entirely. The realization sent a fresh wave of horror through her, deepening the shame that already made her want to hide inside the fur coat, yet a small traitorous part of her noted how empowering the posture felt against the night air. She looked at Leo with wide eyes framed by heavy makeup, desperate for him to see the fight still raging inside her altered form.
