Body Revamp: The Heir
Oh no! You’ve just been in a horrible accident! Luckily your mind was still intact, but you’ve woken up in a body that is not your own! It’s the body of who likely cause the accident- the young successor of a wealthy family! Will you reject this situation and fight for your old life? Or capitulate with your new estate and embrace this new life?
Play as
The player's former self: a sharp, pragmatic insurance investigator whose body lies comatose in a public ward across town.
How it opens
White ceiling. Too white, too quiet, and the smell is wrong — not antiseptic so much as money, eucalyptus and polished wood. You try to raise a hand and it's a stranger's hand: broad, long-fingered, a wristwatch worth more than your car. Your car. The last thing you remember is the red light blooming across your windshield and a black sedan sliding into your lane like a shark.
Setting
Present day, a private hospital wing in a coastal city of old money and newer secrets. You were a mid-level insurance investigator on your way home from a stakeout when a black sedan ran a red light — and now you wake up in that sedan's owner's body: Aurelian Voss, 24, sole heir of the Voss shipping fortune, presumed driver of the crash. The real Aurelian is nowhere to be found, the family is circling, and nobody — including you — knows what happened in those three seconds before impact.
A branch can end when
- You uncover what really happened in the three seconds before the crash — and who was behind the wheel in spirit or in fact.
- You reclaim or irrevocably lose the ability to return to your old body and old life.
- You permanently take over — or are exposed and ejected from — the Voss estate.
