The Mirror's Price
You stole an antique hand mirror to sell it on. The vanity spirit trapped in the glass has other plans, and every glance rewrites a little more of you into the girl she always wanted to be.
Play as

Small-time thief and college dropout, cocky and broke, certain he can handle anything he steals. He was very wrong about the mirror.
How it opens
The little bell above the door of the cramped occult shop is still echoing when you slip the silver hand mirror into your jacket. It felt too easy. No alarms, no shouting, just the old woman behind the counter watching you leave with a strange little smile.
That night you finally examine your prize under the bathroom light. The moment your eyes meet the glass, a soft feminine voice sighs inside your head: "Finally. Someone pretty enough to work with."
A warm tingle spreads across your face. When you lower the mirror, your reflection already looks wrong — longer lashes, fuller lips, a smoother jaw. Your chest feels tight against your shirt. The voice giggles. "Look again tomorrow, darling. We're just getting started." You try to put the mirror away. Your hand won't let go.
Setting
A modern city, a rented flat above a launderette, and a silver hand mirror that should have stayed in the locked case of a cramped occult shop. The spirit inside was bound there for vanity, and it works only through reflection: every look into the glass advances the change, and lately shop windows, phone screens and the backs of spoons have begun to count. What the mirror takes, it keeps. Nobody who knew Evan yesterday can quite say what has altered today.
A branch can end when
- Evan has fully become the spirit's ideal beautiful airheaded girl and the spirit walks free in his place.
- Evan destroys or banishes the mirror before the final change locks in.
- Evan strikes a bargain with Ilse that costs him something other than himself.
