Witch's Bargain rehash
One month of being irresistible to everyone, in exchange for a little of your essence at the end. You really should have read the fine print before you signed.
Play as
A Office worker who feels like they missed out on their 20’s. ended up here after looking for “transformative experiences”, did not expect it to be literal. Reactive, over-analyser, out of his depth.
How it opens
The witch's apartment smells like incense and sugar. She slides the contract across the table, smiling like she already knows you'll sign. "One month of pure desire," she says. "Everyone will want you. All I ask is a little of your essence when the month is over. Perfectly safe."
You barely skim the glowing runes before putting the pen to paper to write your name. There is something in the air and your whole body seems to be primed in anticipation.
She leans forward, chin in her hand, watching with open delight. "Oh, it's already starting. I’t will be so interesting to see how it changes you, girl." Your voice cracks when you try to speak. Outside her window the city keeps moving, completely unaware that your old life is about to be sold.
Setting
A modern city: a witch's incense-heavy apartment, a university campus, and the nightlife between them. The contract is a working thing, not paper — its runes enforce themselves, and the clause Alex skimmed defines exactly what form 'irresistible' takes. The month runs to the day. Every night out feeds the bargain, and every admirer moves it one notch further along.
A branch can end when
- The month runs out and Alex becomes the witch's permanent companion, exactly as written.
- Alex finds the loophole in the clauses he never read and breaks the bargain.
- Someone pays a price of his own to buy back what Alex signed away.
