Turn 11 of 20

Ian’s phone rings. It’s his fiancée. Hearing her voice hits him hard — the wedding, their future, everything at stake. He has a strong surge of resistance, telling his friends they have to find a way to reverse this before it’s too late.

Ian teetered unsteadily at the edge of the crowded beach club, the platform heels sinking into the sand beneath his long smooth legs while the metallic silver dress clung to every curve of his fully feminine body. His full breasts rose and fell rapidly with each agitated breath, and he kept one arm crossed protectively over them while the other tugged the hem down over his rounded ass, the gestures automatic now yet never quite effective. The pretty glamorous face reflected in the nearby bar hut glass still filled him with shock and anger, the real blonde waves framing features that refused to match the man he insisted he remained inside. He had just opened his mouth to attempt another deep male command when his phone began to ring from the small bag that had come with the costume, the cheerful chime cutting through the thumping bass and distant waves like a lifeline from a world that now felt impossibly distant.

He fumbled the device out with slender fingers, the glossy nails catching the sunlight as the screen lit up with his fiancée's name. The sight hit him like a physical blow, memories of their planned wedding, the quiet life they had mapped out together, and the future he had taken for granted crashing over him in a wave of raw desperation. Her voice when he answered carried all the warmth and familiarity he had lost in a single afternoon, each word twisting the knife deeper as he struggled to respond without his new breathy alto betraying him completely. The surge of resistance roared up inside him, fierce and unyielding, pushing back against the subtle mental whispers that urged him to simply enjoy the music and the sun on his tanned skin.

"We have to find a way to reverse this," Ian said after ending the call, his voice emerging soft and higher despite every effort to force a deeper register, the party-girl tone only heightening his agitation as he turned to the group. "Before it's too late. The wedding, everything we've built, it's all slipping away right now while we stand here. Those costumes did this, so there has to be a way to undo it. Stop looking so defeated and help me think."

Josh shifted on her own heels, one hand still cupping a breast beneath her glittery crop top while her glamorous face showed the same internal war, dark hair swaying as she glanced toward the oblivious dancers swirling past their huddle. The rest of the transformed friends clustered tighter, their softened features etched with fear as their own voices had settled into matching feminine lilt, the mental shifts beginning to create tiny cracks of unwanted calm amid the panic. Ian's surge of resistance burned brightly for the moment, narrowing their options to immediate action or total surrender, but the irreversible changes had already cost them their bodies and now threatened their very identities. He gripped the phone like a talisman, repeating his plea with growing urgency even as the beach club pulsed on indifferently around them.

The subtle whisper returned in one friend's mind, suggesting the dress felt good and resistance was pointless, an internal conflict that Ian could not yet see but that deepened the horror of their situation. He tried once more to square his narrowed shoulders in his old male stance, only for the motion to emerge graceful and feminine, adding fresh frustration to the fire of his resistance as the sun dipped lower and painted their cursed group in hues of approaching evening.
