What happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza
Ian's stag do prank costume triggers strange physical changes that spread to his friends, forcing them to confront the transformation.
Opening scene
The villa was already a mess of empty bottles, half-packed suitcases, and the kind of laughter that only happens when a group of lads have been drinking since the airport.
Ian stood in the middle of the living room in nothing but his boxers, arms folded, while his mates circled him like sharks.
“Come on, big man,” Josh grinned, holding up the outfit like a trophy. “Stag rules. Last night before the wedding. You’re the entertainment.”
The “outfit” was pure Ibiza cliché: a tiny metallic silver mini-dress that looked like it would barely cover anything, sky-high clear platform heels, a cheap blonde wig with long beachy waves, and a bag of drugstore makeup. The rest of the group were already half-changed into matching slutty costumes — crop tops, tiny shorts, fishnets, and too much glitter. They looked ridiculous. Ian looked horrified.
“I’m not wearing that,” he said flatly.
“You are,” Tom replied, already shoving the dress into his hands. “We all are. Group theme. Party girls for the night. Don’t be a fucking killjoy.”
After five minutes of protest, teasing, and one very loud chant of “Ian! Ian! Ian!”, he gave in. He always did on these trips. Better to look like an idiot for one night than ruin the stag.
He pulled the silver dress on. It clung and rode up immediately. The heels made him feel like he was about to snap an ankle. The blonde wig sat heavy on his head. When Tom finished doing his makeup — thick lashes, glossy lips, heavy contour — the whole group lost it, howling with laughter and snapping photos.
Ian caught his reflection in the glass door and felt his stomach turn. He looked like every basic party girl they’d ever mocked on nights out.
“Sorted,” Josh declared, clapping him on the back hard enough to make the dress bounce. “Now we look the part. First club in an hour. Try not to fall over, princess.”
Ian forced a weak smile, tugged the hem of the dress down for the tenth time, and told himself it was just one night. Just a stupid costume. Just a laugh.
He had no idea the clothes had already started to feel a little too natural against his skin.
Turn 1 of 20
At the first beach club, Ian is extremely uncomfortable in the tiny silver dress and platform heels. He constantly tugs the hem down, struggles to balance, and keeps telling his friends how much he hates the outfit while they laugh and take photos.
Ian stood awkwardly at the edge of the crowded beach club, the warm Ibiza sand already finding its way into the clear platform heels that pinched his toes and made every step a wobbly disaster. The tiny silver dress rode up with every shift of his weight, forcing him to tug the hem down again and again, his face burning beneath the heavy makeup as the sun beat down on the blonde wig that felt heavier by the minute. Laughter and thumping bass filled the air around him, but all he could focus on was the way the outfit clung in all the wrong places, turning what should have been a fun prank into pure humiliation.
"This is ridiculous," Ian muttered, yanking the dress down for what felt like the hundredth time while trying not to topple over. "I look like an idiot and these heels are going to break my ankles. Seriously, guys, can we just call this off?"
His friends, equally ridiculous in their matching slutty outfits, circled him with phones out, snapping photos and videos that would no doubt haunt him forever. Josh, in a glittery crop top and tiny shorts, doubled over laughing, his fishnets already sagging slightly from the heat. Tom clapped Ian on the shoulder, nearly knocking him off balance again, while the others howled with glee, their own costumes drawing stares from the real partygoers around them.
"Oh come on, princess," Josh managed between gasps of laughter, wiping tears from his eyes. "You're the star of the show! Look at you, serving Ibiza realness. One night, remember? Just own it and have a drink."
The group continued to tease him mercilessly, posing for more pictures and ordering rounds of shots that Ian eyed warily, his stomach twisting with discomfort that went beyond just the ill-fitting clothes. He told himself it was just the embarrassment, just the heat and the noise, but something about how the fabric felt against his skin made his skin crawl in a way he couldn't quite place yet. The transformation had only just begun, subtle and unnoticed amid the chaos of the beach club.
