Turn 2 of 20
Subtle physical changes begin. Ian notices his skin becoming smoother and more tanned, his lips feeling slightly fuller, and a strange softness starting in his chest and hips. He tries hard to dismiss it as the heat, alcohol, and tight clothes.
Ian stood awkwardly at the edge of the crowded beach club, the platform heels sinking deeper into the sand with every uncomfortable shift of his weight. He tugged at the hem of the tiny silver dress once more, feeling the metallic fabric slide against his skin in a way that now seemed oddly clinging rather than just restrictive. A strange warmth spread through his limbs, and when he glanced down at his arms, he noticed his skin looked smoother, the usual faint hairs less visible, taking on a subtle golden tan that hadn't been there when they left the villa. His lips tingled as he licked them nervously, sensing they felt a fraction fuller, almost plump, which he quickly blamed on the sticky gloss Tom had applied too thickly.
He rolled his shoulders, trying to ignore the peculiar softness blooming in his chest where the dress pressed tight, and the way his hips seemed to ache with a gentle rounding pressure that made balancing in the heels even trickier. The bass from the speakers vibrated through the ground, mixing with the shouts and laughter of the crowd, but Ian's mind raced to dismiss it all as the effects of the blazing sun, the shots they had downed earlier, and the constricting costume that was clearly cutting off his circulation. He had always been pale from office work back home; a bit of color from the Ibiza heat made sense, and the rest was probably just his imagination running wild from the humiliation.
"This outfit is messing with my head," Ian said, his voice coming out a touch higher than usual, which he attributed to shouting over the music. "My skin feels weird, like it's burning or something. And these shoes... they're making everything hurt in the wrong places. You lot are loving this, aren't you?"
Josh lowered his phone after another barrage of photos, his own glittery crop top riding up as he laughed, though he too seemed to fidget with the waistband of his tiny shorts more than before. The group pressed closer, still snapping away, their teasing relentless amid the beach club's chaotic energy of dancing bodies and spilled cocktails. Ian forced a weak chuckle to play along, but inside, unease gnawed at him, the subtle shifts in his body dismissed as nothing more than the prank's toll on his nerves and the island's relentless atmosphere.
He reached up to adjust the blonde wig, fingers brushing against cheeks that felt softer to the touch, and told himself firmly it was all in his head. The party swirled on around them, waves crashing nearby, and Ian focused on not falling over, determined not to let the strange sensations ruin the night for everyone else. After all, it was just one stupid costume, just the alcohol talking, and tomorrow they would all laugh about it on the flight home.
