Turn 3 of 20

The early changes become harder to ignore. Ian’s chest starts to swell tenderly, his waist feels tighter, and his hips begin to round. Panicking, he pulls his friends aside and insists something is wrong with him, demanding they leave.

Ian shifted his weight again in the sinking platform heels, the crowded beach club pulsing with music and laughter all around him, but the sensations in his body refused to be dismissed any longer as mere heat or tight fabric. His chest felt strangely tender now, a swelling pressure building beneath the metallic silver dress that made the material strain in ways it hadn't minutes ago, while his waist seemed to cinch inward with an unnatural tightness that stole his breath. Hips that had always been straight and masculine were rounding out subtly but insistently, throwing off his already precarious balance and forcing him to tug the hem down yet again to cover the changing curves. Panic rose in his throat like bile, hot and sharp, as he realized these weren't just tricks of the mind or the alcohol swirling in his system. The blonde wig suddenly felt heavier on a scalp that tingled with unfamiliar sensitivity, and even his voice caught when he tried to speak, emerging softer than it should.

"Something's wrong," Ian said, his words tumbling out in a rush as he grabbed Josh by the arm, the skin under his fingers feeling oddly smooth against his own altered touch. "I mean it, lads. My chest... it's swelling or something. My hips feel different. We have to leave right now. This isn't funny anymore."

Josh paused mid-laugh, his glittery crop top catching the sunlight as he turned, though his own fidgeting with the sagging fishnets suggested he too might be sensing a vague discomfort he couldn't name. Tom and the others clustered closer at Ian's urgent tone, their matching slutty costumes drawing even more stares from the beach club crowd, but their expressions shifted from amusement to confusion under the heavy makeup. The waves crashed rhythmically nearby, mixing with the thump of bass and distant cheers, yet Ian's heart hammered louder than any of it, his tanned and smoother skin now prickling with sweat that had nothing to do with the party atmosphere. He pulled them all a few steps aside toward the edge of the sand, away from the densest part of the throng, insisting with growing desperation that they abandon the prank and head back to the villa immediately.

"Come on, it's probably just the drinks and the sun," Josh replied, though his grin faltered slightly as he glanced at Ian's increasingly feminine silhouette in the tiny dress. "You're the stag, mate. Can't bail now."

Tom nodded in agreement at first, snapping one last photo out of habit, but he too shifted uncomfortably in his own outfit, the group's teasing dying down as Ian's panic became impossible to ignore. The early changes continued their insidious work, accelerating just enough to heighten the horror without yet revealing the full irreversible truth, leaving Ian trapped in a body that no longer felt entirely his own amid the relentless Ibiza revelry.
