Turn 4 of 20
The rest of the group starts showing the same early signs — softening faces, slight curves, smoother skin. Fear spreads. Ian argues strongly that they need to stop drinking and get help, refusing to accept this as normal.
Ian stood at the edge of the crowded beach club, the platform heels sinking into the sand as he stared at his friends with mounting dread, the metallic silver dress now clinging to a frame that felt increasingly alien with its tender swelling chest and rounding hips. He had pulled them aside from the main throng of dancers and drinkers, the bass-heavy music still pounding like a second heartbeat while waves crashed in the distance, but the panic in his voice cut through the noise as he gestured wildly at his own changing body. The subtle transformations had begun to spread, visible now in the softening jawlines and fuller lips of Josh and Tom, their skin taking on an unnatural smoothness and light tan that gleamed under the afternoon sun. Even their postures seemed to shift, waists tightening and hips flaring just enough to make their slutty costumes fit differently, no longer purely comical but disturbingly natural. Ian's heart raced with a fear that refused to be reasoned away, his own fuller lips trembling as he insisted this was no prank gone wrong from the heat or alcohol.
"Look at yourselves," Ian demanded, his voice emerging in a higher pitch that only fueled his alarm, the blonde wig swaying with the frantic shake of his head. "Your faces are changing, smoother, softer. We're all getting curves where we shouldn't. This isn't normal, and we need to stop drinking right now and get help before it gets worse. I refuse to pretend this is just a bad trip or the sun playing tricks."
Josh fidgeted with the hem of his glittery crop top, his laugh dying in his throat as he touched his own cheeks and felt the unfamiliar plumpness there, his fishnet-clad legs looking more shapely than before. The group exchanged uneasy glances, the earlier howling amusement replaced by a spreading fear that rippled through them like a chill despite the warm Ibiza air thick with salt and spilled cocktails. Tom adjusted his own tiny shorts, which suddenly rode differently on emerging curves, his confusion deepening into visible worry as he glanced at the others and then back at Ian's increasingly feminine silhouette in the silver dress. The beach club swirled with oblivious revelers around them, laughter and music creating a surreal backdrop to the horror unfolding in their private huddle, but Ian stood firm, refusing to let the changes be dismissed as anything ordinary. His smoother, tanned skin prickled with goosebumps, the tenderness in his chest a constant reminder that something irreversible had begun.
"Mate, you're right, this feels off," Josh said at last, his own tone carrying a softened edge that made him wince, though he still tried to muster a weak smile that didn't reach his altered eyes. "But what the hell do we do? The villa's a taxi ride away, and we look like this now."
Ian shook his head vehemently, tugging the dress down over his widening hips one more time, the panic solidifying into resolve as he argued against any delay, his friends' matching early signs only confirming that the costumes had unleashed something far beyond a simple stag-do joke. The fear bound them together in that moment, the party continuing unchecked while their bodies betrayed them in slow, unsettling increments.
