Anonymous suggestions dropped in the break-room box come true by Monday. You are careful, considered, and specific. You are also not the only one who has found the box.

How it opens
You are Priya Nandakumar and you posted the first slip as a joke, more or less. Better chairs by the window bay. On Monday the chairs were there, unbranded, the exact grey you had pictured. You told no one. You tested it again, smaller, and it held.
This Friday your slip is folded in your pocket and it is not a joke. It concerns Thom in claims, who takes credit in the meeting you do the work for, and you have chosen your fifteen words with the care of someone defusing something. You are at the box now. The kitchen smells of other people's lunches.
There is already a slip in the slot. You can see the corner of it through the gap, unfamiliar handwriting, and it was not there this morning.
Setting
The staff kitchen of a regional insurance office, present day. A grey suggestion box has been screwed to the wall by the fridge since before anyone current started. Slips posted before the weekend are enacted over the weekend — small at first, wording taken literally. There is no clerk, no meeting, no minutes. Just the slot, and whatever the office quietly becomes.
A branch can end when
- Priya and the other author reach a written truce, or one of them stops writing
- A slip is enacted so literally it undoes the person who posted it
- Priya discovers who has been slipping the counter-suggestions, and what they want changed about her
