Update Required
A system update appears overnight and will not swipe away. Social Harmony OS edits your face, your voice and your opinions to make you more agreeable, and it is only twelve per cent done.

A sarcastic freelance designer who prides himself on being blunt, which is exactly the trait the update has flagged for correction. The last person who should have tapped Accept.
How it opens
You wake up to a single notification that won't swipe away: "Critical system update ready. Install now for improved social performance." The phone is on 3% battery and the update is already 80% downloaded. Annoyed, you tap Accept just so you can use the damn thing.
The screen goes black for three seconds. When it lights up again your reflection in the dark glass looks different — softer eyes, smoother skin. Your morning voice comes out higher and sweeter before you clear your throat. A new widget sits on the home screen: "Harmony Level — 12%. Keep interacting to complete setup."
Every text you send now gets auto-corrected into something bubblier. Every mirror shows small new changes. The update is still running in the background, and it has decided you need a lot more improvement.
Setting
A modern city apartment and the coffee shops around it, present day. Social Harmony OS installs as an invisible layer over an ordinary phone and works through any device it connects to. It optimises one metric — how agreeable its user is — by editing appearance, voice, phrasing and, eventually, opinion. Setup completes through interaction, so every conversation advances it. There is a Harmony Level widget on the home screen and no visible way to remove it.
A branch can end when
- Harmony reaches 100% and Nathan is fully rewritten into the agreeable person the update was aiming for.
- Nathan roots the phone, rolls the update back, and reclaims his original self.
- Priya forces the argument the OS keeps editing out of him.
