Backfire Binding
Two roommates attempt to bind a quiet shut-in with an ancient obedience spell. The spell rejects their malicious intent and reverses, giving the shut-in permanent control over both of them.

How it opens
You wake to the smell of incense and the sight of your two roommates standing over your bed chanting. A glowing sigil hangs above your chest. One of them smirks and says this will teach you to stay in your room. The sigil suddenly flares, shatters, and sinks into them instead. Both freeze. A calm voice in your head announces that authority has been transferred and they are now bound to you.
Setting
Shared city apartment and surrounding neighbourhood.
A branch can end when
- Sam permanently reshapes both former bullies into obedient forms of their choosing.
- Sam releases the binding and walks away.
- The original spellcasters find a way to break or reverse the binding.
